Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the construction industry. The role is situated in ENGLEWOOD, Colorado, and provides a chance to be part of our dynamic team, handling a high volume of accounts payable transactions, managing tax calculations, and utilizing various accounting software systems. This job offers a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage a high volume of accounts payable transactions.

• Regularly monitor and respond to emails related to accounts payable functions.

• Perform 3-way match and 2-way PO matching to ensure accuracy of invoices and payments.

• Handle subcontractors and lien waivers as part of the payment process.

• Oversee sales and use tax calculations for accounts payable.

• Utilize various accounting software systems including 'Great Plains (GPAC)', 'IBM AS/400', 'JD Edwards EnterpriseOne', 'Microsoft Excel' and 'Viewpoint Vista'.

• Execute check processing and data entry tasks related to accounts payable.

• Address discrepancies in accounts payable and resolve them promptly.

• Use skills in 'Accounting Functions', 'Accounts Payable (AP)', and 'Construction' to effectively manage tasks and responsibilities.

• Oversee the process of month-end journal entries. Requirements • Minimum of two years experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist within the construction or contractor industry.

• Proficient in using accounting software systems.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with accounting functions and accounts payable (AP).

• Experience in check processing.

• Ability to handle discrepancies effectively.

• Understanding of lien waivers in the construction industry.

• Knowledge of construction accounting is required.

• Familiar with LEED Accounts Payable.

• Ability to prepare and record journal entries.

• Experienced in preparing month-end journal entries.
