Job Functions

The successful candidate will be responsible for inventory management and waste reduction of multiple MRO categories of spend. The goal of this newly created position is to minimize working capital, by implementing effective inventory management practices.

• Responsible for accurate releasing of raw materials to suppliers and the scheduling of delivery appointments.

• Areas of responsibility include, corrugated, ink, coating, pallets, stretch film, shrink film, glue, finishing belts.

• Monitor delivery performance of raw materials suppliers and trucking companies.

• Develop/implement new processes to improve departmental efficiency.

• Requests purchase orders for components and materials.

• Analyst is responsible for ensuring effective management of all raw- packaging- and WIP materials in order to minimize potential losses for the organization.

• Actively manage monthly aging inventory by working cross-functionally with Marketing- Sales- Finance- Supply- Demand- and Materials to identify potential RPW Waste.

• Implement a preferred vendor program (stretch film, pallets, etc.) & vendor scorecard system.

• Supplier liaison (single point of contact/gate keeper)

• Develop and implement new processes to improve material tracking and inventory control efficiency, i.e. materials movements within the plant and in SAP.

• Drive inventory reduction efforts of purchased materials to avoid aging.

• Actively manage monthly aging inventory by working collaboratively with all production departments and suppliers around root causes.

• Collect- analyze- and evaluate data to improve supply chain process efficiency and minimize waste.

• Leverage the analysis for monthly leadership reviews to identify root causes and action to be taken

• Responsible for managing all receiving for the complex including all service invoices and incoming parts Pos. Maintaining workflow issues and reconciling any AP issues as needed.

• Relieves inventory consumed at consignment warehouses and reconciles as necessary.

• Manages the warehouse monitor and reconciles ages or missing pallets daily with the IPRs and third-party warehouses.

• Provides back up for Load Planning all outbound shipments to external customers and GPI facilities, including completion of export documentation.

• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Supply Chain- Operations- Logistics- Industrial Engineering- etc.) or equivalent experience.

• Strong interpersonal and time management skills

• Ability to meet extremely tight deadlines with logical problem-solving

• Excellent follow up and accountability skills.

• Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
