As the Sr. HR Manager you will support the Distributor Operations and Sales organization for New Jersey. Will provide HR guidance and support to multiple business functions that include both hourly union to senior leadership. Oversees the implementation of HR based programs and projects, ensuring that assigned client groups are receiving the strategic support needed to operate efficiently and effectively. Manages the Human Resource Planning process (ensuring that employees are identified for development) and provides HR services for senior level employees (sr. directors and vice presidents).

What You'll Do:

  • Partners with the client group leadership team to assess the effectiveness of the organization in terms of leadership, communication, and organizational design.

  • Functions as a senior leadership team member for the client group.

  • Partners with business leadership to develop functional objectives, goals, strategies and measures (OGSM’s) that drive business strategy.

  • Provides expert knowledge in developing and implementing solutions designed to address the needs and issues of internal and external partners related to organizational design, leadership development, performance management, talent management and Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP).

  • Manages union contracts, including gathering input from internal experts in HR (labor relations, total rewards, etc.), preparing negotiating authority, and reviewing with ELT members, liaising with outside counsel on non-economic terms, acting independently at the bargaining table with finance and union staff and ultimately achieving a ratified contract.

  • Supports employees in multiple satellite locations and field based.

  • Supports the Gallo Sales Leadership Development Program by the identification, recruitment, onboarding, training, rotation, development, career planning and ultimately winery rotation.

  • Leads a team of employees who support the day-to-day HR operational needs to the business to include compliance, employee relations, recruiting and training and development.

  • Manages the development planning, rotations and overall experience for visiting or employed shareowners and referral interns and employees.

  • Maintains HR plans and oversees the development and facilitation of career planning/capability development for client employees and managers.

  • Develops team goals, objectives, and systems; makes changes to the system dynamic when required.

  • Manages functional succession planning; ensures integration of succession planning into performance management and staffing decisions.

  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to drive continuous improvements in department efficiency and the way services are performed.

  • Partners and works through the HR COE (Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Compliance, Training, OD) to drive programs and meet the day to day needs of the business.

What You Will Need:

  • Master’s degree plus 6 years of human resources experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of human resources experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 12 years of human resources experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

  • 2 years of supervisory experience.

  • Industrial Labor Relations Experience.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Master’s degree plus 8 years of human resources experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of human resources experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

  • 4 years of supervisory experience.

  • 2 years of Industrial Labor Relations experience.

Compensation:

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $150,200 -$225,400

  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
