Description: Our client in Northern Suburbs is looking for a Desktop Support Administrator to join their team!

This role acts as the point of escalation for all Field Techs/Desktop Support resources. This person will own the administration of KACE, project- based work and collaborate with network and security teams to aid process improvement for the organization.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include the following:

• Design, configure, and manage baseline desktop operating systems

• Act as Tier 3 escalation for desktop environment

• Install, configure, and maintain desktop environments using Microsoft Operating Systems and Office 365 applications.

• Create and maintain Active Directory and Remote Access/VPN User accounts

• Create/deploy/maintain mandated secure Group Policy solutions and trouble-shoot security implications with affected applications

• Deploy and support Windows 11 golden images across both Mac and Windows platforms.

• Active Directory forests, domains, group policy management, OU/security group/user/computer object administration.

• Windows Admin experience including Windows desktop patching, desktop virtualization, deploying and trouble-shooting Group Policy Objects (GPOs).

• Utilize Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Autopilot for streamlined device provisioning, mobile device, and application management to ensure endpoint security compliance and configuration management.

• Assist in the deployment of updates and patches for software and systems.

• Provide technical support for both on-site and remote employees, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and networking.

• Collaborate with IT security teams to implement security measures that protect company data and comply with industry regulations.

• System installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance.

• Common Windows roles, features, and services, such as file shares, replication, print services

• Lifecycle management solutions that track software inventory, deploy security patches, and administer software distribution

• Scripting with Windows command line, PowerShell, virtual basic, etc.
