Moray House - Elgin (Some degree of travel will be required)

Full-time, Permanent

We have a wonderful opportunity for an Assurance Auditor to join our Scotch Category Governance team based in Elgin.

About the Role

As an Assurance Auditor within the Scotch Category Governance team, you will own the delivery of the annual audit schedule which tests our controls and governance management systems. You will work with technical specialists to drive standardisation and ensure full compliance with our policies, standards and protocols. This will include providing impartial and independent interpretation of the Diageo GRMS (Global Risk Management Standards), local legislative and regulatory requirements, crafting reports and supporting our sites across Scotland to identify gaps and close out any improvement recommendations.

Key points you would be responsible for are:

  • Conducting Audits across sites based around Scotland

  • Presenting non-conformances from audits with the site and documenting these findings on the audit system

  • Supporting your designated sites with Actions raised on Audits and implementing improvements required

  • Supporting the wider Risk remit within the Scotch Market

  • Delivery of Diageo Health & Safety commitments

  • Being a vital link between Governance and Operations

Ultimately, being a source of advice, knowledge, and having the confidence to lead operations is the pinnacle of the day to day ways of working in this exciting role.

About You

You will have positive can do demeanour, and the ability to make decisions fast. Experience of an auditing role in a manufacturing environment will benefit the ideal candidate, allowing them to take care of high pressure situation. Effective Interpersonal communication skills will allow the role to be carried out without issue.

Bringing with you organisational skills to allow you to prioritise your workload optimally will be highly helpful.

You should be able to build and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external parties. You should possess passion to make positive changes and be pro-active in your approach, suggesting improvements and appraising new opportunities.

Experience in one of the disciplines covered by our Auditors, such as Environmental teams, Health and Safety, Compliance or Continuous Improvement, as well as previous Auditing experience would set you up for success.

Formal training on ISO 9001, or other Auditing qualifications would be desirable however not crucial.
