Currently, ManTech is actively seeking a motivated, customer-oriented Mission Integrator to join our team in the El Segundo, CA area .
ManTech's Air Force and Space Division is recruiting highly talented candidates to support a contract that provides cradle to grave support to the United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SCC) Assured Access to Space (AATS) National Security Space Launch (NSSL) (formerly Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (EELV)) program.
We provide services and support in a multitude of areas, including Systems Engineering & Integration, Acquisition & Program Management Support, Mission Integration Management, System Safety & Environmental Engineering, Systems Security & Information Assurance, Launch Schedule and Risk Management, Certification of New Entrant Launch Vehicles.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist/Mentor/Train Multi-Manifest Office (MMO) Government Mission Integration Managers (GMIMs) in manifesting payloads, executing mission integration, and monitoring payload development.
Serve as government representative on the MMO side and interface with LV Contractor, Auxiliary Payload Customer, Auxiliary Payload Contractor, and other program stakeholders.
Support requirement development and verification activities, including mission requirements, interface requirements, launch services requirements, launch vehicle hardware/analyses/CONOPS requirement.
Work with Auxiliary Payload Customer, Auxiliary Payload Contractor, LV Contractor, and other contractors in support of GMIMs to ensure launch systems, hardware, software, tests, and analyses meeting Standard Interface Specification, System Performance Requirement Document and all mission requirements.
Prepare/Deliver mission readiness briefings at readiness reviews (e.g. Mission Readiness Review (MRR), Flight Readiness Review (FRR), Launch Readiness Review (LRR))
Provide support in developing engineering change proposals, statements of work, contract modifications, technical evaluation of proposals, and launch operations planning and execution.
Other responsibilities include, program plan development and maintenance, including performing launch vehicle mission trade studies, mission analysis, managing console operations, monitoring/ analyzing real-time launch vehicle data, the development of mission unique requirements and derived requirements identification, monitoring and verifying all launch vehicle and satellite vehicle interface requirements including satellite vehicle transportation and processing requirements, Fleet Surveillance efforts, and launch vehicle hardware pedigree reviews.
Basic Qualifications:
Engineering Degree majoring in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering or Bachelor Degree in related STEM field
Minimum 8 years experience in mechanical/aerospace engineering, including at least two years of launch vehicle / space vehicle integration or launch / range experience with emphasis in spacecraft or launch vehicle processing.
Experience with the space vehicle Program, launch vehicle contractor, operating location, Range, and other associated contractors and organizations.
Requires a working knowledge of USSF Engineering Launch Support System architecture and components, launch systems, Launch Support Centers at various launch bases.
Must have active, current DoD Secret Clearance to start
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS), Special Compartmented Information (SCI) DoD security clearance
Travel up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated competency in Microsoft tools including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Information Technology (IT) systems and SharePoint-type databases. Experience with senior level Space Force leadership in a Program Office environment.
Experience working with the Space Systems Command (SSC).
Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related field.
Experience with and competency using Jira, Confluence, and Mattermost
Work as an integral team member of the SE&I team.
Demonstrated ability to resolve quality issues effectively.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
