Cassia Assisted Living Reimbursement Specialist & Admissions Nurse in Edina, Minnesota

Cassia  is seeking an RN to work as an Assisted Living Reimbursement Specialist and Admissions Nurse at our Corporate Office in Edina, MN! 

In this dual role, you will ensure that cares match reimbursement rates for Assisted Living residents on waivered programs (EW, CADI, BI, etc.) as well as private pay rates cover costs to provide care. In addition, you will work at our assisted living communities to assess potential residents to receive care. Your clinical expertise and collaboration with the site’s team will help increase occupancy as you complete assessments for prospective residents from TCUs, hospitals, homes, assisted livings, and other settings.

This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position. This position is based at our corporate office where you will work on reimbursement projects. You will also be traveling to work at our assisted living communities in the Twin Cities. There is an option to work remotely at times.

This position includes a company car and $5,000 Bonus!

Reimbursement Responsibilities:

  • Assist site staff in developing and inputting services into provider tools for support plans for all incoming admissions on waivers as well as current residents coming onto waivers to ensure services are fully maximized in the tool.

  • Review on a scheduled, regular and on-going basis waivered residents services and support plans to ensure any changes to services/care plan are represented on resident’s support plan.

  • Assist site staff to ensure all waiver information is appropriately reflected and uploaded into Eldermark and information is kept up-to-date.

  • Work with resident’s county case managers to ensure changes in condition of waivered residents are communicated and new support plans are acquired.

  • Work with resident’s county case managers to ensure that annual assessments and support plans are completed and with changes in condition (including post-hospitalization if changes occur).

  • Work with site staff to ensure that any changes to support plans are communicated and updated in Eldermark.

  • Work closely with Cassia A/R department to ensure all changes are captured and billed appropriately.

  • Regularly train site nursing and administrative staff on waivered practices and protocols and their role in the process.

  • Assist site teams to ensure private pay resident cares match billing.

  • Review private pay pricing covers costs to provide care and make recommendations where there are pricing gaps.

    Admissions Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships across Cassia.

  • Effectively use program tools to complete pre-admission assessments according to Cassia standards.

  • Communicate with site leaders regarding assessments

  • Complete and analyze reports for completion of tasks and projection of occupancy.

  • Display a courteous attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff.  

  • Work at the metro campuses based off pre-admission assessment needs.

    Requirements:

  • Must be in good standing with the MN Board of Nursing and have current MN Nursing license.

  • Must be able to travel throughout the metro area.

  • Valid Driver’s license.

  • Must have one year of billing education or experience

  • Familiar with Medical Assistance /EW programs and systems.

  • Experience in assisted living required.

  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.

  • Understand, interpret, and utilize data to improve resident care.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, and organization skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines.

  • Must be flexible to work in memory care, traditional assisted living and care suites.
