Optum Serve is seeking a results-driven Communications Director with a proven history in leading, creating and executing comprehensive communication strategies to support our federal client who is looking to improve and standardize service delivery and end-user support services across a large IT organization. We are looking for a Communications leader to help our client evolve end-user IT services, communications, and collaboration tools. Working collaboratively with the larger program management team, you will ensure that stakeholder groups across the organization are informed, supportive, and ready for future changes and will design and create a variety of communications tools to ensure awareness. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing effective and integrated communication plans, including strategies and tactics across all channels, leveraging all communication opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute Strategic Communications Plans, including strategy, stakeholder identification, messaging and measurement, and tactics for initiatives of various sizes and complexity.

  • Lead communications team, coordinate and manage tasked assignments.

  • Meet regularly with clients to understand their work, needs and develop collaborative relationships.

  • Support client and project team in fostering opportunities to align stakeholders and prepare teams for upcoming changes (technology, process)and project success.

  • Plan and facilitate recurring activities including monthly reports, program-wide team meetings.

  • Support client meetings: prepare materials, capture and distribute notes and action items.

  • Enforce brand guidelines requirements to ensure consistency and clarity of message externally as well as internally (ensure adherence across the organization)

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Marketing/Communications leadership experience (corporate or agency side) in a highly matrixed environment

  • Experience managing direct reports and leading cross-functional teams of various sizes

  • Experience with Martech tools, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience or Marketo

  • Proven ability to lead highly visible, complex projects with cross-functional teams

  • Proven ability to manage relationships and strategic partnerships

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise direction

  • Proven ability to set measurement criteria to achieve results

  • Proven ability, aptitude and desire to present to senior leaders

  • Proven to be a standout idea generator and analytical person with excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with the VA, DOD or other Federal Government agencies

  • Experience or knowledge of health care industry

  • Administrator level knowledge of MarTech tools including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience or Marketo
