Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll be responsible for completing assigned maintenance duties to ensure the highest level of satisfaction for our team, customers, and vendors. Your role involves performing onsite maintenance for production equipment by accomplishing breakdown and preventative maintenance on all filling, packaging, processing, and palletizing equipment. In a fast-paced production environment, you'll diagnose, repair, and replace industrial equipment in support of the manufacture of dairy-related products. You'll also be tasked with achieving assigned goals in maintenance, safety, quality, performance, and cost. Our expectation is that you will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical malfunctions to increase productivity and equipment capabilities. This includes tasks such as disassembling and reassembling machinery, overhauling gearboxes, and replacing bearings/bushings/etc.

Hard Skills

• Reading blueprints, schematics and diagrams

• Repairing and calibrating hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies

• Testing the performance of electro-mechanical assemblies

• Installing electronic parts and hardware

• Operating, testing, programming, and maintaining complete manufacturing line

• Maintaining Maintenance Inventory System

• Complying with GMP's, SOP's, corporate and/or plant policies, rules, and regulations

• Following OEM manuals and executing procedures

• Gaining competence on line circuits

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 880 Hour(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in East Syracuse, New York.

Work Environment

Our work environment is generally protected from weather and temperature changes, but possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions does exist. You may be exposed to ingredients used in the manufacturing of food products, including allergens, and chemicals involved in the manufacturing and sanitation of a food processing facility. We expect you to ensure work areas are sanitary and strictly adhere to sanitation practices.
