What we do:

International cash distribution, market analysis, and customer relationship management is a strategic business line of the Federal Reserve System, managed by the Global Currency Programs & Services (GCPS) department of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. The GCPS department leads the Federal Reserve’s role in the global distribution of over $200 billion U.S. dollar banknotes annually. The Market Intelligence team of the GCPS department monitors developments in the wholesale USD banknote market, produces analytical products on the use and flows of U.S. dollars banknotes overseas, and works with a variety of internal and external stakeholders on policy and operational issues related to the international wholesale U.S. dollar business.

Your role as Market Intelligence Associate:

· Provides real-time monitoring and analysis of developments in the global USD wholesale banknote market to identify risks to market functioning and sanctions compliance.

· Provides subject matter expertise to FRBNY and Federal Reserve System (FRS) workstreams by following international financial and economic developments, as well as geopolitical events, to fill in intelligence gaps and support policy discussions.

· Develops and maintains working relationships with market participants and industry contacts.

· Collaborates with Compliance Function on investigation efforts, gathers and analyzes data, develops structured and ad hoc analytical products for FRS stakeholders and US government agencies.

What we are looking for:

·Seasoned professional independent contributor with a background in macroeconomic analysis, intelligence, international relations, or equivalent work experience.

·Demonstrated understanding of fundamental macroeconomic principles and international financial market analysis.

·Strong quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to explain complex topics clearly and succinctly is paramount, must have expertise in presenting analysis visually (Tableau).

· Excellent writing abilities, including experience preparing written reports, presentations, briefings, or recommendations for management.

· Foundational ability to construct and maintain databases to automate and improve the analysis and monitoring of data from multiple sources.

· Basic proficiency with at least one statistical programming language (e.g., Stata, R) and familiarity with extracting data using SQL.

Basic comprehension of BSA/AML compliance.

Salary Range: $116500 - $144200 / year
