Aspen Aerogels, Inc. Lead Cycle Count Specialist in East Providence, Rhode Island

The Lead Cycle Count Specialist is a skilled contributor within the organization to ensure inventory accuracy, analyzing root cause for inventory variances recommending next steps and resolution, and publishing cycle count results.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitoring and controlling inventory practices to ensure accuracy, auditing warehouse and inventory activities including receiving, storage, and shipment of raw materials or finished goods.

  • Executes daily cycle counts for raw material, semi-finished and finished goods, and timely reconciliation of count variances for all sites.

  • Executes root cause analysis and makes recommendations on resolution or process improvements.

  • Reports cycle count results to management and analyzes trends.

  • Verify that inventory is being received and billed properly.

  • Identify cycle count discrepancies and adjustments to inventory.

  • Supports annual physical inventory.

  • Supports external warehouse physical inventory (monthly, quarterly or annually)

  • Creates annual cycle count program, performs a close follow up to ensure correct execution.

  • Recommends improvements in current procedures.

  • Categorizes inventory using ABC.

  • Can operate digital scales and scanners.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Between 2-4 years of experience working in an Inventory Control environment is required.

  • Demonstrates quality work through accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.

  • Exhibits efficiency in problem solving by identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner to meet established customer deadlines.

  • Experience with operating standard and automated office equipment including scanning devices, computer, and label printing machines.

  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft office including Excel.

  • Interpersonal skills to exchange information between departments and with management personnel.

  • Forklift experience required.

  • Must possess strong computer skills and have ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be competent at oral and written communications and handle basic math computations.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are a must.

  • Apply common sense understanding to accomplish instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Will be required to use specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used: digital scales and scanners

  • Frequently works around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals

  • Rarely exposed to outside weather conditions

  • Rarely exposed to extreme heat or cold (non-weather)

  • Rarely exposed to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials

  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 30 pounds
