Acculam Customer Service Representative in East Falmouth, Massachusetts

Acculam manufactures thermoset composites, we are growing and need additional Sales and Service Professionals to serve our customers\' needs. Under new Management, we are a 30-year-old business serving the Aviation, Maritime, Automotive and Electrical Industries. We\'re looking for a results-driven sales and service representative to help our growing customer base meet their needs. We provide training, a professional and supportive environment and opportunities for professional advancement. Inside Sales: Key account contact for multiple customer accounts Handle daily telephone calls and questions from customers both external, internal and team members Provide superior customer service by providing quotes, pricing, delivery and product information to customers in a timely manner Cross collaborates and communicates with production control, engineering, manufacturing, and others necessary to fulfill customer orders. Escalate issues to Product Line management and management of other areas as necessary to meet and hopefully exceed customer expectations Utilize order entry system to process formal quotes and orders Train new and existing employees as needed to promote depth within the team Address and resolve customer complaints. May work with Quality Control (QC) and Manufacturing to address problem issues. You are the primary customer advocate internally Respond to customer requests for information, materials, samples, catalogs, etc. Administrative/General: (shared responsibilities) Assist in preparing monthly sales reports for distribution to management and others Update and/or maintain Marketing Representative files Subscribe to and practice 5S, JIT, Process Improvement activities Observe safety procedures and conduct; use equipment and materials properly Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Positive and successful interaction with customers, employees, reps and vendors Strong product knowledge and product information of Accurate Plastics pricing and offerings Understanding of marketing data, products and materials Ability to successfully multi-task and manage competing priorities Possess excellent organizational a time management skills Must have solid understanding of geometry and math skills for quote preparation and pricing Superior communication, interpersonal and verbal skills required to interact effectively with all customers, employees and outside vendors, etc. Work well as a team member and individual contributor Use sound judgment to resolve routine daily issues Proficient and strong computer skills working with Microsoft Office; including WORD, Excel, Access and PowerPoint Prefer to have prior experience and or the ability to learn customized systems and (sales) order entry systems such as CSI, HubSpot, and others Qualifications: Plastics and Composites experience preferred. Associate degree in business or relevant discipline preferred, and/or equivalent experience Minimum 5+ years progressive inside sales experience, with supervisory responsibilities in a manufacturing environment Excellent interpersonal and team management skills Strong customer service and solutions-oriented background Associates (Required) Physical Demands: Position works in an office environment, sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk Finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination for operation of personal computer and operating of office equipment on daily basis Light lifting, carrying of files, supplies, ability to move, carry, lift up to 30 lbs. of objects Ability to speak and hear customers, vendors, and or other employees via phone or in person Requires sufficient autonomy, standing and walking to move for one office location to another and throughout the plant Acculam reserves the right to change or revise functions and responsibilities as the need arises.
