Acculam, a dynamic and growing organization, located in Falmouth, Massachusetts, is looking for multiple individuals from entry level up to 10 years of manufacturing experience. We manufacture advanced composite sheet, plate, rod, and tubes. These products are used in a wide variety of applications ranging from but not limited to industrial, medical, defense, recreational, electronics and aerospace. Duties and Responsibilities: Design/development/implementation of new products. Re-design of existing products and processes. Design experiments supporting new product and process development. Conduct process development of new processes. Conduct troubleshooting of present process issues. Qualify new resin formulation feedstock sources. Conduct testing of materials and products. Optimize current processes to: Reduce scrap. Reduce downtime. Improve quality. Increase throughput. Document new procedures in support of product development and process development. Provide technical service to sales and the marketplace. Investigate non-conformances, determine root cause and corrective action. Assist in maintaining the Quality Management System. Assist in maintaining environmental data collection and reporting. Requirements: Minimum of a BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Plastics Engineering or equivalent. Plastics/Composites experience strongly preferred. Thermoset resin experience, especially epoxy, is strongly preferred. Reports to the Manager of Technology and Quality.
