POSITION SUMMARY
The Lubrication specialist will gather, monitor, and analyze the lubricants in use on rotating equipment. They will use this information to identify lubricant related issues and recommend maintenance scope and adjustments to preventive maintenance activities. They will manage all aspects of the lubrication program at EDNF from routine oil sampling to storage and inventory practices.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum lubrication analyst level 1 certification from an accredited certification body or the ability to acquire one within six months.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience in machinery maintenance & reliability or related field or certification in related technical field.
- Demonstrate knowledge of lubrication principles and sampling practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of lubrication handling and storage requirements.
- Previous experience in rotating equipment maintenance.
- Fluent in English, oral and written communications required.
- Ability to analyze and resolve difficult problems while working in a team environment.
- Ability to adjust schedule to meet departmental goals and objectives.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Demonstrate ownership of the lubrication program at the facility.
- Review and update lubrication PMs as appropriate.
- Drive continued improvements in lubrication practices and selection.
- Partner with the warehouse on ensuring appropriate lubricant stocking levels and storage conditions.
- Lubrication technical support and troubleshooting to the day-to-day operations and maintenance within assigned area.
- Maintain the plant lubrication list.
- Present lubrication related activities and findings clearly through written and verbal reports to management and internal customers utilizing proper industry terminology.
- Work independently with guidance needed in only complex situations.
- Demonstrate a growing knowledge of reliability processes and methods.

EXPECTED RESULTS
- Reduce maintenance expense and unplanned downtime due to lubrication-related issues.
- Ensure that lubrication preventive maintenance activities are completed as scheduled, effective, and appropriate.
- Ensure rotating equipment files are accurate and complete.
- Demonstrate leadership and the ability to influence others without direct authority.
- Flexibility to support varying schedules based on facility needs.
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures.
