The Opportunity

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (formerly Alere) is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies. Our in-vitro Diagnostic Assay manufacturing site in Dundee has an exciting opportunity for a Packing Operator to join the Assembly team.

Shift pattern: 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. / 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. (Monday-Friday)

What You’ll do

As a Packing Operator within a Kit Packing environment you will be primarily responsible for safely ensuring the on-time delivery of finished/assembled (packed) product which conforms to current best practices and Quality standards. More specifically:

• Accurately follow instructions, such as SOPs/KLFs/PBRs, to ensure that product is produced accurately and in line with Quality instructions.

• Complete Quality documentation

• Be able to operate Packing/Kit Assembly Equipment

• Actively seek out and contribute to continuous improvements activities

• Follow the Health & Safety standards of the Dundee site

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Nat 4, or equivalent, in English, Maths, or equivalent experience to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills

• Drive and commitment to meet customer performance and delivery

• Must at times be flexible enough to react to changing business goals, juggle and manage personal workload as per business requirements

• An ability to communicate effectively to a wide audience

• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail

• Knowledge of GMP production processes and procedures
