POSITION SUMMARY Truck Drivers will work on all types of our construction projects. This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of multiple types of commercial motor vehicles. Some required skills are following all safety policies and procedures, safe function and operation of commercial vehicles, loading and unloading various materials, careful movement in and out of construction sites. Essential best practices includeod communication with team members, proper documentation, pre/post-trip inspections, routine vehicle maintenance, and the required maintenance of Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and DOT Physical Card (Fed Med Card) requirements. Truck Drivers perform a significant scope of work at Northland and the skills required align with the scope of work of the Teamsters General Local Union Number 346. Truck Drivers are also required to log hours using an electronic logging system. This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Position Requirements: * Must be at least 18 years old. * Valid driver s license and reliable transportation to and from place of duty. * Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and current DOT Physical Card (Fed Med Card). * Previous construction or physical job experience preferred. * Physically fit to stand, squat, bend, lift, and walk for long durations in all seasonal weather and environmental conditions in a moving highway work zone. * Ability to listen and take direction from others while being a team player and helping to train less experienced employees. * Ability to follow all safety procedures, rules, and regulations. * Completion of additional project specific skills training as required.
