Clarke University Internship Coordinator in Dubuque, Iowa

The university is currently seeking a qualified individual to assume the role of Internship Coordinator. This position is part of the Career Services department and covers all aspects of the university's internship program.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate processing internship paperwork between students, faculty, the registrar, and outside organization.

  • Assist students in locating and applying for internships locally, nationally, and internationally.

  • Review internship materials before, during, and after each placement to confirm that all internships are quality experiences for every involved party.

  • Assist the Career Services Director in maintaining the school's job board with special attention to curating internships on and off campus.

  • Correspond with community partners who host internships to assess internship quality, address needs and concerns, and educate site supervisors on best practices to help students meet the university's expectations.

  • Support the Career Service Department's ongoing efforts to develop strong community connections by regularly communicating with internship hosts and discovering new opportunities in the community.

    Qualifications include:

    Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree recommended, all applicants with appropriate skills and experience will be considered.

    0-3 years of experience in business, administration, education, or supervision.

    Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

    The Career Services Department is a small, dynamic team involved in a variety of activities within the university so any other professional skills will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

    This position requires occasional night and weekend hours to support events at Clarke or the larger Dubuque Community.
