Job Description

AECOM is looking for a Quality Coordinator to support the Clients' Head of Quality in the development and implementation of a credible Quality Management System aligned to the objectives of the Contracting Entity’s Infrastructure Department, including but not limited to KPIs, dashboards, procedures, best practices, lessons learned and reporting systems / applications, which align to the Contracting Entity’s policies, procedures and legal requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

Functional Requirements, Standards & Performance

  • Accountable for the quality and assurance strategy and overall management of the quality process and the delivery of quality activities across the Infrastructure Department’s Portfolio, translating strategy into operating procedures.

  • Provide compliance measurement of programme leadership with the governance processes, and continuous improvement of the governance provisions.

  • Audit the processes and procedures across the Infrastructure Department in line with ISO 9001 Quality Management standards.

  • Responsible for the collation and escalation of assurance issues and concerns to the Clients' Head of Quality Assurance

Programme Quality Management Activities

  • Coordinate and support site audits conducted by stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

  • Monitor and Review Contractor’s standards for tests, inspections and evaluations including forms and instructions for implementation and reporting.

  • Ensure documentation and reporting of findings identified through audits and inspections are structured to enable timely and targeted actions.

  • Interpret and implement quality assurance standards and regulations.

  • Support with the Infrastructure Department in improving quality of systems and identifying lean process improvements in the design and construction management area generally.

  • Input at tender review and approval stage in relation to quality standards, performance and deliverables.

Working within a multi-disciplinary team & managing stakeholders

  • Support and act as the conduit to establish a unified and high standard of quality output.

  • Drive a positive quality culture within Infrastructure Department Portfolio and ensure the team is invested in managing and improving quality performance.

  • Contribute to the continuous drive towards a high-performance culture within the department.

  • Make a timely response to quality assurance queries and requests for information from stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in Quality Management across infrastructure programmes of significant size and complexity, preferably within aviation

  • Member of the Chartered Quality Institute or equivalent professional organisation and have completed and to have an IRCA recognised auditing qualification.

  • Hands on experience of a ISO9001 or equivalent environment

  • In-depth knowledge of designing and implementing quality management strategies and process improvement practices across large programmes and multi-disciplinary teams

  • Experience of auditing, reporting and implementation of subsequent corrective actions

  • Have an in-depth understanding of the design and delivery requirements of technically complex projects in the architectural / engineering / construction sectors

  • Experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation influencing the improvement of process and guidance to support project delivery and reporting.
