The Lead Full Stack Engineer will have passion for clean code, a hunger to take on challenging and exciting projects as well as an unrelenting drive to learn and deliver. Qualified candidates will be required to demonstrate the full stack hands on knowledge for this position. This position will work with a team of data scientists to build a transformational risk modeling and underwriting system.

Primary Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop software or specialized utility programs by analyzing user needs

• Collaborate and host brainstorming sessions with users and other team members to implement solutions that are aligned with business requirements

• Ensure user interface is intuitive, accessible and compliant with corporate brand and security requirements

• Develop CI/CD pipelines for and automating code to deploy in multiple environments without manual intervention

• Leverage industry standards and technology trends in software development to improve the product

• Execute development processes for the project such as build automation, unit testing, software configuration management and packaging

• Oversee system health and facilitation of high priority incidents to improve the state of service availability and continuity

• Understand the interactions between systems, the applications and services hosted and evaluate the impact of changes and additions

• Ensure performance, reliability and scalability, while meeting security requirements and code quality

• Develop with standardization and reuse in mind and create and maintain related documentation and process flows

• Create quick working proof of concepts to validate and formalize solutions and design

• Be a thought leader in best practices and standardization to achieve operational excellence

Required Qualifications:

• Expert in developing solutions hosted within one of the major cloud providers (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud)

• Experience working in a microservices environment with full knowledge of reference architectures and design patterns required for a complex implementation

• Experience of delivering high quality production software using Java, Python, SQL

• Experience designing and building interactive Web Applications using Figma, React and Node.JS

• Deep understanding of JQuery, Bootstrap, HTML and CSS

• Hands on experience of securing web applications.

• Experience in using modern software engineering and product development processes including Agile / Scrum, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, DevOps etc.

• Experience with REST/ JSON APIs, Java, Spring, and SpringBoot, Microservices, No-SQL Data Stores, Docker, Containers

• Experience with automation of CI/CD using GitHub Actions [Pipeline as Code] and source control system in Git

• Display a strong desire to achieve and attain high levels of both internal and external customer satisfaction

• Strong experience of operating in a quickly changing environment and driving technological innovation to meet business requirements

• Proven critical thinking skills and persistence to solve complex problems

• Flexibility to take on various responsibilities in a start-up like team atmosphere

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities

• Practical experience of deploying infrastructure and applications using Terraform

• Experience in Financial Services/FinTech
