Allient Inc. is in growth mode and currently seeking a Customer Service Technician to join our Dothan, AL team!Allient Inc. is a global publicly traded company with over 2200 employees at 27 locations in 11 countries.The Customer Service Technician provides effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members within the customer service department to assist customers with troubleshooting in order to determine the specific nature of a technical malfunction.Apply now!

Responsibilities: Responds to customer and prospective customer inquiries from mail, phone and Internet Answer calls and help customers address technical problems with a product, or travel to homes and businesses to repair or maintain products. Managing all on site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks. Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions. Enters and schedules all customer purchase orders and forecasted orders in scheduling system. Verifies price on new products and existing products. Produce timely and detailed service reports as well as document processes. Expedites orders that are urgent or overdue and communicate delivery information to customers as needed. Assists in product selection, clarification, and determination of the delivery and lead times. Communicates with Regional Sales Managers and others as needed to meet customer delivery expectations. Processes Returned Material Authorizations (RMA) including data entry, internal and external communication, work orders and assisting with Root Cause analysis and Corrective Actions. Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, Associates Degree in a business-related or preferred. 2 - 5 years of relevant experience. Strong working knowledge of operations preferred. Excellent computer skills including MS Office products and an ERP or MRP software. Ability to work with flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules. Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment.

Physical Demands: The role is mostly office-based but may spend some time standing and walking on the production floor. May be required to operate a computer and/or other office devices. Occasionally will have to lift and/or transport items weighing between 10 and 30 pounds.

Work Environment: Predominately office environment with occasional exposure to the production floor. While on the production floor, employee may be subjected to moving mechanical parts and may be required to put on precautionary, protective wear such as safety glasses.
