What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

The main responsibility of the Laboratory Process Leader is to manage a team of Laboratory Operators, ensuring the site delivers safe and effective products that meet customer needs whilst maintaining compliance.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Shift Lead, the Laboratory Process Lead will oversee daily laboratory activity to support the manufacture of Libre Sensor product. A proven people leader, the team leader will motivate and support the laboratory team to achieve targets and whilst also focusing on coaching to contribute to development. Using problem solving tools the team leader will foster a culture of continuous improvement and seek opportunities to drive efficiencies in the laboratory process.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and ensuring that the Laboratory schedule is met.

  • Managing a group of Laboratory operators in daily laboratory tasks

  • Ensuring conformance with all relevant Policies and Procedures. Contributing to the creation of Work Instructions and Operations Procedures to maintain compliance.

  • Problem solving of test equipment to achieve product quality and production schedule goals. Ensuring that productivity, quality, and cost objectives are achieved.

  • Manage Planned and Unplanned Maintenance on Laboratory Equipment.

  • Manage Planned and Unplanned Excursions for the laboratory.

  • Contributing to Quality Reports that pertain to the technical department.

  • Completion of Performance Excellence Assessments and Development Plans to promote Continuous Improvement.

  • Ensuring the Department conducts its business in a manner designed to be protective of human health, safety and the environment.

  • Co Ordinate and implement process and equipment projects.

  • Validation of new processes and development of technical documentation for areas of responsibility.

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and performing other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Years Experience:

  • Candidates should have a 3rd level qualification in Science and a minimum of 2 year’s experience people leading.
