Job Summary and Qualifications

The CTTechperformsCT scans, providing the highest level of customer service and image quality.

What You Will Do in This Role

• You will perform CT exams following protocols andin a timely manner, ensuring a high quality of care.

• You will prepare procedure trays withappropriate supplies.

• You will take patient history and retrieve any necessary orders or prior images.

• You will provide patient history/signs/symptomsappropriate tothe exam to the radiologist.

• You will appropriately complete documentation.

• You will coordinate patient flow and check the daily list to ensure all exams are complete.

• You will support ALARA (As LowAsReasonably Achievable) principles.

• You will inform patients about procedures and answer questions.

• You will interact and professionally communicate with physicians, patients, and family members.

• You will start IVs for contrast administration.

• You will use the power injector.

• You will contribute to after-hour coverage through on-call shift rotations.

• You willmaintainall licenses, certifications, and accreditationsrequiredas outlined in job qualifications.

• You will handle daily upkeep of departmental work areas (cleaning, stocking, etc.).

• You will promote customer service initiatives by adhering to the ICARE values.

• You will support andparticipatein quality (QI) and performance improvement (PI) plans.

• You willcomply withquarterly targeted metrics (i.e., Kronos, HealthStream, PACS, etc.).

• You willdemonstrateknowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.

• You will perform other duties as assigned.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.

• Current ARRT certification with advanced registry, or registry eligible with advanced CT certification within 1 year of hire or within 6 months of eligibility.

• 1 yearpost-graduate experience preferred.

• BLS certificationrequired.
