GENERAL SUMMARY:

Henry Ford Health System is looking for a qualified intern to join our Health Education Team. The Health Education Intern will serve as a paid peer educator for our summer program. The position is for 6 weeks, Monday thru Thursday, starting at the end of June and ending in early August (exact dates to be determined). The position is part-time and will be approximately 24 hours per week.

This position is located at One Ford Place, Detroit, Michigan.

This position is for a high school aged youth with a passion for

  • STI/pregnancy prevention, healthy relationship, consent, and goal setting health education.

  • A qualified candidate would be someone who is outgoing and able to speak in front of a group of their peers.

  • A person who has previously volunteer experience or work in a community organization would also be encouraged.

  • Someone with plans of entering the medical field, public/community health, or health education fields after high school would benefit from this employment opportunity.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    This position is for high school students (1 year completion of high school)
