INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an Instructional Designer to join our Learning and Development team. You and your team members will be responsible for the creation, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of online, classroom and blended training for our associates. Collaboration with internal departments, subject matter experts, and additional stakeholders across the organization will be required. Our ideal candidate has proficient understanding and experience with organizational training, e-Learning development software, LMS administration, and instructional design. Top-notch project management skills, organizational skills and a passion for learning are also needed to succeed in this position.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, analyze and prioritize learning/training needs per assigned project.
Perform job, task, and culture analyses and work with managers to understand requirements and addressable gaps.
Create highly engaging online and instructor-led training.
Work alongside subject matter experts and departmental leaders to design and develop high quality, effective learning/training content.
Create highly effective assessments to evaluate the learning and knowledge gained from designed courses.
Create high quality supplemental learning tools such as job aides, process maps, and facilitator/participant’s guides.
Conduct virtual train-the-trainer sessions when necessary.
Evaluate existing company training and make recommendations for revisions and enhancements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education – Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in instructional design.
Experience – 1-2 years’ experience with learning authoring tools such as Camtasia, Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise. Proficient with MS Office Suite and Learning Management Systems. Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Language Skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Superior interpersonal skills.
