ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be responsible for implementation and oversight of Industrial Hygiene activities at two R&D sites and one manufacturing site. The role of the Industrial Hygienist is to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control health hazards present in our work areas and to develop/sustain comprehensive and ongoing programs to protect the workforce. As part of a ten person HSE team you will interact with safety and environmental professionals to create best in class HSE processes that drive success and efficiency in all operations.

Key Responsibilities

• IH Program maintenance, development, and oversight

• Conduct monitoring of workplace hazards, as necessary

• Support Research and Development on new product initiatives

• Implements HSE&F standards

• Provide technical assistance

• Site compliance reviews

• Strong MOS administration

• Advocates HON behaviors

• Effective coach and role model

• Deploys safety initiatives

• Measures key HSEF metrics

• Drives standard work

• Ensures compliance standards

YOU MUST HAVE

•Bachelor’s degree

•Minimum 5 years of experience conducting Industrial Hygiene surveys/designing and implementing controls for workplace hazards

•Ability to travel to two sites in the Chicago area

•Ability to walk sites including stairs and ladders

•Certified Industrial Hygienist

•Chemical Industry experience

•Strong oral and written communication skills
