On With Life Residential Support Professional in Des Moines, United States

This full-time position works 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, including every other Saturday and Sunday, for a total of approximately 80 hours every 2 weeks. It is also part of a holiday rotation. The following schedules are available:

  • 6am-2:15pm

We also offer a Hiring Bonus, paid in increments through your first 18 months of employment. The bonus is:

  • Positions regularly scheduled less than 24 hours per week: $3,000

  • Positions regularly scheduled at least 24 but less than 36 hours per week: $4,000

  • Positions regularly scheduled 36 or more hours per week: $5,000

We also have a PRN overnight position available. This position does not have a regular schedule but may have shifts available to work up to a couple times per week. Overnight shifts work 10pm-6:15am.

This position starts at $16/hour for no/minimal experience. We do annual raises based on budget capacity, and full-time positions also have the opportunity for a discretionary bonus at each anniversary. This position is eligible for a 401k match and other benefits depending on total hours worked, such as PTO and long-term sick pay, subsidized health, dental and vision insurance. What do Residential Support Professionals do at On With Life?

The Residential Support Professional provides direct support to individuals living in our 5-bedroom community-based residential setting. In collaboration with the Residential Support Team Lead, this position:

  • creates, monitors and implements individualized treatment plans to help persons served achieve their goals and return to independent living

  • works with person served to address life skills (e.g., meal planning, budgeting, community access) and manage neurobehavioral challenges (e.g., identifying triggers, de-escalation techniques, self-management strategies)

Qualified candidates must have:

  • An Iowa Class D3 Chauffeurs license (we can pay for this if you do not have) and drive on behalf of On With Life

  • Ability to maintain CPR certification (we can provide training if you do not have this)

  • Ability to obtain Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) certification, paid for by On With Life

  • Ability to obtain Medication Manager certification (we can pay for this if you do not have)
