A direct client of Robert Half Technology is seeking an experienced SharePoint Consultant to assist migrating from Classic SharePoint to Modern SharePoint. This role will primarily involve working closely with business leaders to design and build out SharePoint sites that align with their needs, as well as providing training and best practice recommendations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SharePoint migrations, a strong understanding of best practices, and a security-first approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the migration process from Classic SharePoint to Modern SharePoint, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

• Collaborate with business leaders to understand their requirements and build optimized Modern SharePoint sites.

• Provide guidance and training to teams to ensure effective adoption and usage of Modern SharePoint.

• Implement best practices for SharePoint architecture, governance, and security.

• Ensure proper permissions and security configurations are in place to protect sensitive data.

• Identify and resolve issues related to migration, performance, and user experience.

• Document processes, configurations, and user guidelines to support ongoing maintenance and user adoption.

• Stay up-to-date with SharePoint updates, trends, and industry best practices.

  Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience migrating from Classic SharePoint to Modern SharePoint.

• Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Power Automate, and Power Apps.

• Experience working with SharePoint security and governance best practices.

• Ability to work with business leaders to gather requirements and translate them into effective SharePoint solutions.

• Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to engage non-technical users.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot migration and configuration issues.

• Experience with metadata management, site structures, and document libraries.

• Knowledge of SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and customization options is a plus.
