What You'll Do

As a Software Engineer in our Retirement area, you'll solve business problems through technology. This is a team that includes experienced, high-performing engineers who work in a fast-paced, Agile environment. The team supports mission-critical customer relationship management applications that enable our business partners to provide exceptional service to our retirement participants.

If you like working with data and understanding how data flows through our various recordkeeping systems, then this is just the team for you. If you don't know the specific tools we use, that's fine as we are excited to mentor and train someone with a background in object-oriented programming who demonstrates an innate curiosity and eagerness to learn and grow their software engineering skillset.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone with:

• Associate's or bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field or equivalent experience) and 6+ years work experience or equivalent experience.

• 3 or more years of experience working with Java is required.

• 3 or more years of Salesforce Development experience is required.

• Experience or exposure to data and/or data technologies (more specifically, how that data moves from system to system).

• Eagerness and proven ability to learn.

Additional preferred technical experience:

• AWS Preferred but open to others.

• Understanding of REST APIs.

• Familiarity with Agile/Lean methodology.

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$95200 - $182400 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Work Environments

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
