System One Mechanical Field Engineer in Denver, Colorado

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with specialized experience in refinery operations for field installation work at our Denver Refinery site.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical fixed equipment and rotating equipment within the refinery.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians to plan and execute field installation projects efficiently and safely.

  • Conduct field inspections and assessments to identify equipment issues, recommend solutions, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Develop detailed engineering plans, procedures, and specifications for field installation activities, including equipment layout, piping arrangements, and structural supports.

  • Perform technical analysis and calculations to assess equipment performance, reliability, and structural integrity.

  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to procure materials, equipment, and services required for field installation projects.

  • Participate in site meetings, safety briefings, and project reviews to provide technical input and support project planning and execution.

  • Act as a technical resource for field technicians and operators, providing guidance and training as needed to ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports related to field installation activities, including equipment modifications, repairs, and upgrades.

  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety standards to maintain a safe working environment and mitigate operational risks.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience with a focus on Refinery operations and field installation projects.

  • Proven expertise in mechanical fixed equipment and rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and pressure vessels.

  • Strong understanding of refinery processes, equipment specifications, and industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME).

  • Experience with engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and proficiency in technical analysis and calculations.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Willingness to work onsite at the Denver Refinery and adhere to site-specific safety protocols and procedures.
