Job Title: Divisional PTM Coordinator FLSA Status: Full Time - exempt Reports to: Divisional Youth Secretary Schedule: FT/Exempt, Monday-Friday Supervises: PTM Department Rate of Pay: $70,000-$80,000/year Closing Date: 6/22/2024 Benefits: Standard; Full-Time, Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following: Health, vision, dental, life as well as voluntary life and disability insurance Sick leave benefit - 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual and availability begins at hire) Vacation benefit - 20 vacation days per year, accrued at the rate of .0769 hours for each hour worked (accrual begins at hire but may not be used until the completion of six months of employment) One floating day off for use (accrued immediately, and again annually, but may not be used until the completion of the initial three-month introductory period of employment) Pension Plan (after one year of continuous service) Voluntary Tax-Deferred Annuity Plan (403(b)plan) Function: The purpose of the Divisional PTM Coordinator is to give leadership to Salvation Army units in their efforts to increase the safety of infants, children, youth, and vulnerable adults who participate in the units' programs and to train and develop protocols and training regimens to enhance the Protect the Mission & Elder Abuse program for all levels of program participants and community members. The focus of this position is to be a resource for information and education to all staff for infant, child, and youth safety practices and to assist with dissemination and implementation of policies and procedures under the direction of the Program Specialist. Duties and Responsibilities: Organize and perform the functions related to the Protecting the Mission program in a professional manner Plan and conduct training sessions and policy workshops on Protecting the Mission, utilizing Zoom meetings and other means whenever possible Update and maintain The Salvation Army Protecting the Mission materials and in-house database, making sure they are in line with State/Federal mandates Conduct criminal background checks on TSA employees and volunteers (including camp employee/volunteers and Kettle Workers) who have access to children when necessary. Process all criminal background check alerts. For employees: Work with THQ to prepare pre-adverse letters, develop supervision plans, and other case specific materials/correspondence as needed; notify local Corps Officers of the need for additional materials and/or explanations. For volunteers: Coordinate meetings and prepare materials for Divisional Review Committee; follow-up with volunteer and/or local Corps Officers as needed; update vendor website once volunteer has been processed Coordinate criminal background checks on all TSA officers with the DC's office and/or THQ, ensuring that complete documentation on officers is maintained Maintain divisional Central Registry information, working with THQ and other personnel as necessary, checking all employees and volunteers through the registry Travel to divisional corps and units to provide Protecting the Mission information and training as it relates to corps and church youth programs, services, and Salvation Army policies regarding Protecting the Mission issues Oversee the maintenance of accurate, complete and functional files on volunteers and employees related to the Protecting the Mission program. Ensure that submitted paperwork is thorough and high-quality Train Protect the Mission Child Safety Consultants (ongoing) preparing consultants to provide training to officers, employees, and volunteers and to conduct field assessments. Schedule trainings and assessments for trainees. Follow through with trainees to ensure assigned trainings and assessments are completed and correctly performed. Establish and coordinate the Division's training and assessment cycle with field officers and program a ministrators Conduct Protecting the Mission assessments and audits of all Intermountain programs and facilities Work directly with on-site staff to be sure that corrective measures are implemented as required following assessment Serve as a resource and point of contact for local units dealing with immediate PTM issues. Walk units through TSA and state/federal requirements for PTM issues such as child abuse/neglect, peer-on-peer abuse, statutory rape, etc. Disseminate, update, and maintain The Salvation Army Protect the Mission & Elder Abuse Policy materials at Divisional Headquarters and with field unit levels, making sure it is in line with State and Federal, and Salvation Army mandates Serve as a resource and point of contact for local units dealing with the incorporation of PTM policies and procedures. Provide guidance on and review issues such as planning overnight trips, special events, the addition of a new building, the addition of a new program, daycare licensing, supervision of worshipping, sex offender, etc. Prepare materials and reports for TSA and external auditors Prepare materials for divisional trainings and materials Review and monitor all Notices of Concern (NOC's) for the Intermountain Division consulting with supervisor regarding necessary action and additionally consulting with the Human Resources Department for any incidents that include employee involvement Lead or assist, as necessary, with investigating and following through with complaints/incidents Provide additional information and assistance to the Divisional Youth Secretary, including assistance with complaints, investigations, and other issues as...
