The HSE Advisor - Contractor Safety Management Auditor in our US Onshore Resources & Carbon Management (ORCM), HSE Business Unit based in Denver, CO is responsible to work with the ORCM Business Units (BU) to ensure implementation of contractor safety performance expectations. This position requires an advanced understanding of industry-specific regulations, protocols, and best practices to mitigate risks associated with hazardous environments and activities.The HSE Advisor - Contractor Safety Management Auditor collaborates closely with various stakeholders, including contractors, business unit operations personnel to implement and enforce safety standards throughout our contractor partners. Key responsibilities The purpose of this role is to enable HSE to deliver a robust contractor safety program through collaboration and engagement with Operations and HSE by: Review, understand and implement the full contractor safety management (CSM) program and associated procedures. Collaborate with the full ORCM HSE department on effectiveness and accuracy of the CSM programs Collaborate with contractors on the requirements of the Oxy CSM program and associated procedures Contractor Safety-Duties include meeting with respective companies frequently to discuss safety programs expectations. Audit new contractors - duties include scheduling on-site HSE audits. A complete detailed report must be submitted after audit is complete. For companies that Oxy is pursuing a mitigation plan is shared with companies that do not meet all aspects of the ORCM CSMP. Follow-up as needed. Audit existing contractors - duties include scheduling on-site HSE audits. A complete detailed report must be submitted after audit is complete. For companies that are not following Oxy policies a mitigation plan will be submitted to them. Follow up as needed. Service Order Requests/PO-Duties include conducting desktop audits for companies that will be working on projects, or for "one-off" companies that will not be working more than 12 months for Oxy. Approval letter that includes and HES requirements must be sent to Supply Chain and should be added as an exhibit to commercial agreement. ISNetworld-Duties include overseeing contractor compliance in ISN. Also evaluate written safety program exemption requests. Oxy audit tool development. Assist with updating matrix for programs and any other issues. Assist with SEMP (Safety Engagement & Monitoring Program) scorecard. Assist with Electrical and Safety Tier Program - Oxy Tracking System. Assist with low performing contractors and their Safety Improvement Plan. Assist with contract HSE Renewal Approval. Assist with Alert (Drug and Alcohol) data/system. Assist and participate in conducting independent Oxy Contractor Field Assessments (CFA)

Qualifications 1.HS Diploma/GED required, bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, science, engineering, or other related field preferred. Advanced degrees highly preferred. 2.8-12+ years of experience in HSE roles. 3.Professional certification(s) highly preferred, such as ASP, CSP, CHSO, or PMP. Knowledge and training in safety, environmental and health practices to include interpretation of data, standards, codes and regulations (e.g., NFPA, OSHA- PSM, ANSI/ASSE, API, etc.) Ability to work independently without continuous direction Excellent interpersonal and team skills Have a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record Demonstrated self-development activities - continued education, participation in special projects etc.
