City Of Delta Lifeguard (Part Time) in Delta, Colorado
POSITION: Lifeguard (Part Time)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Under general direction performs work in monitoring activities in aquatic complex to prevent accidents and assist participants and monitors the safety of patrons. This position responds to emergencies or incidents in or around a swimming pool, sauna, hot tub, or locker room & enforces rules for patron safety.
REQUIREMENTS: *Considerable knowledge of water safety and swimming techniques and be able to perform water rescue. *Ability to perform all American Red Cross aquatic rescue techniques. *Ability to talk and hear in person; ability to see and read instructions, observes conditions and to instruct. *Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, associates, and the general public. *Will be required to sign an authorization form for the City to conduct a criminal background check and received " clearance of check. *At least 15 years of age and current certification in ARC Lifeguard Training. *Schedule can include early mornings, nights, weekends, split shifts, and holidays.
WAGE: $15.08 - $20.52 per hour depending on qualifications.
SHIFT: Part time positions that may include early mornings, nights, and weekends. Flexibility is a must. May be asked to cover morning shifts from 7am-2pm, if needed.
JOB SITE: Delta, Colorado.
BENEFITS: Part time position may not qualify for a full benefit package.
