Job Description:

Responsible for managing relationships with vendors and serving as the organization's point of contact. Analyze and evaluate proposals and negotiate contracts in vendor selection, provide support to the organization for problems with vendor products and services, prioritize and classify vendors with quantifiable, standardized rankings, and identify cost optimization opportunities in Greifs current vendor landscape. Also be responsible for managing vendor performance and collaborating with procurement, legal, finance teams to optimize vendor selection, pricing and contract terms. This includes creating clear escalation pathways and contingency plans for addressing vendor underperformance.

 

[Responsibilities:]{.underline}

Vendor Relationship Management

  • Initiate and lead meetings with vendors, executives, governance/compliance teams, and all other stakeholders to discuss vendor-supplied technologies/services and ensure effective preparation, briefing, alignment, and execution of the disbursement of the technologies/services
  • Engage and collaborate with a variety of internal departments and external organizations in order to manage the governance of the Greifs vendor management organization; ensure consistency across contracts and vendors; determine business needs and requirements; and support efforts where Greif does business
  • Serve as the contact between other departments/stakeholders (i.e. IT, operations, security, management, accounts payable, etc.) utilizing technologies/services from vendors
  • Develop and execute work management and partnership strategy, including indentfying and effectively engaging top strategically impactful vendors, such that Greifs overall business transformation is supported by the partnership ecosystem

     

Vendor Portfolio (Selection, Management and Optimization)

  • Play an active role in the vendor selection process, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with the Greif's overarching goals and objectives
  • Regularly evaluate the vendor portfolio to confirm its alignment with the Greif's strategic objectives, and suggest adjustments to the vendor lineup when necessary
  • Identify and subsequently execute against opportunities for vendor consolidation, cost-efficiency enhancements, and process refinements
  • Partner with procurement, legal, and finance departments to streamline vendor selection, pricing, and contract conditions. Drive partnering and alignment between procurement and legal departments with regards to vendor contracting

     

Contract Management

  • Create and maintain vendor relationships to ensure that the agreements made are mutually beneficial for both parties
  • Negotiate, support and process SOWs, Exhibits, Amendments, Addendums, MSAs, MSLAs etc.
  • Initiate contract negotiations, changes, compliance reviews, renewals, and terminations, and solicit ongoing value from the vendor

     

Vendor Performance Management

Analyze and report out on data regarding vendor alignment to business operatives, productivity, quality, efficiency, and satisfaction

Recommend ways to optimize labor and non-labor vendor spend and performance (SLAs, OLAs, OKRs)

Engage key stakeholders to review operational progress throughout the contract
