You as Regional Compliance Manager – EMEA Operations are responsible with local and corporate management, supporting with regional and global compliance activities. These include ensuring completion of local statutory and U.S. GAAP audits, as well as Veralto Insurance Audits and balance sheet reviews, and will be located in De Meern, Netherlands.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Internal Controls and Sarbanes Oxley: Support the team in assessing the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements as needed to enhance compliance and minimize risks.

  • Audit Coordination: Lead the coordination of documents and communication with auditors, including local statutory, U.S. GAAP, Veralto Internal Audits, and Videojet Balance Sheet Reviews.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Support the completion of required filings for our trade a regulatory compliance for our Europe sales entity and the manufacturing entities .

  • Balance Sheet Reviews/ Internal Audit: Attend 3-4 local site visits to perform the balance sheet reviews/ internal audits required for each legal entity.

  • Reporting and Remediation: Maintain visual management tools to identify open control gap, and support the local accounting team to implement processes to close the gaps.

  • Template Development: Develop and implement templates to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential areas of non-compliance and develop strategies to mitigate risks.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Corporate Compliance team, Veralto, and other departments (e.g., legal, finance, internal audit) to ensure alignment on compliance initiatives and resolve issues as they arise.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with a CPA, ACA, CIA, or equivalent designation.

  • 5+ years of equivalent professional experience in accounting, audit, internal controls, and/or compliance functions (US GAAP and EU local GAAP) with “Big 4” experience a plus.

  • Subject matter expert on accounting and internal finance policies, including revenue recognition and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).

  • Ability to travel up to 10 weeks per year

  • ERP experience, preferably Oracle, and Microsoft Office user
