Job Title: Diesel Technician

Job Description

We are a full-service, Iowa-based truck leasing company offering truck and trailer rental and leasing, contract maintenance, and logistics services, including dedicated contract carriage from nearly twenty convenient locations throughout Iowa and the adjoining states. We are looking for a quality diesel/service technician to join our 1st shift team in our Davenport, Iowa location.

Responsibilities

• Run diagnostic tests on vehicles.

• Test drive vehicles to gauge performance.

• Maintain detailed records of the vehicles serviced.

• Fix gaskets and various parts of trucks/trailers.

• Perform diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles to find faults.

• Analyze diagnostic test results and repair or replace engine, steering, transmission, braking, or lighting system components.

• Maintain a parts inventory.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical repair and service experience.

• Proficiency with hand tools.

• Experience in preventive maintenance and installation.

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

• At least 1 year of manufacturing/mechanic experience.

• Comfortable working in a dirty environment.

• Must have own tool

• Must have 5-6 years of experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in assembly, hydraulics, and production.

• General labor skills.

• Must have own tools.
