Palmer College of Chiropractic is looking for a Clinic RT!
FUNCTION
The Clinic Radiologic Technologist (RT) is responsible for performing quality x-ray examinations, education of the chiropractic student in in x-ray positioning and patient management during radiographic examinations, general radiography and department duties.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Responsible to the assigned administrator and has a support responsibility to all other departments and college personnel as necessary.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform radiographic examinations.
Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations.
Train and assess students in patient radiographic examinations.
Monitoring students and patients during examinations, ensuring safety, and following procedures.
Daily evaluation of equipment function.
Performing radiology administrative tasks.
Disseminate radiology reports.
Screening phone calls, processing mail, scheduling appointments, maintaining filing systems, ordering, and maintaining office supplies, and other related duties.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local safety and health regulations, maintenance of safe laboratory environment.
Maintain compliance with college policies, procedures, and expectations.

Training and experience in radiologic technology.
Ability to perform assigned duties with time pressures and frequent interruptions.

Ability to work various hours as job requires.
A license to practice radiography.

The ability to lift heavy weights without assistance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Requires a high school diploma with associate or bachelor’s degree in radiology American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Requires at least one year of work-related experience.
Must be licensed by the Iowa Department of Health.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Perform sedentary to light work in a ventilated, lighted, and temperature-controlled office setting.
Radiology environment with x-ray equipment.
Frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, lift light objects (up to 10 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the workday
