Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking to bring on a Traffic Engineer III with expertise in Traffic Engineering. This position would be a part of the traffic team in the North Texas region. In this role, this individual will be responsible for the production and medication of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned project. This position will work closely with PMs to perform development calculations, research, and design and delivery for projects ranging in all sizes. This individual will be working on projects for clients such as TXDOT, ARDOT, NTTA, DART, NCTCOG, and other major airports in the DFW area. The primary focus will include coordinating traffic efforts with other disciplines plus focusing on traffic signal, pavement marking, illumination and signage design.

Major responsibilities:

* Wil be focusing on Traffic signal, pavement marking, illumination and signage design.

* Assist in the development of project specifications.

* Responsible for development of discipline specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs and plans.

* Contribute to the delivery of a wide variety of projects for the company's clients.

* Provides Technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members.

* Works closely with other disciplines and on multi-discipline projects.

* Conduct quality control checks on engineering deliverables.

Skills and Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

* Professional Engineering License (P.E.)

* 4 years of experience as a traffic engineer

* Must be advanced in Vissim software

* Traffic signal design experience as well as road striping, pavement markings, signage and illumination design

* Experience within MicroStation or relevant CAD experience and Microsoft Office Suite * Master's Degree

* Previous management experience within traffic engineering.

* Experience working with TxDOT. null
