Work hours: Fulltime; Monday-Friday (7:00am – 4:00pm)

  • Systems Engineer will lead Engineering and Facilities Projects for the IEEM building and investigators.

  • High degree of integrated teamwork with an engaged and supportive leadership team.

Here’s What You Need

· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science required

· Master’s Degree in electrical, biomedical engineering, or computer science, preferred

· At least 3 years experience in maintenance of technical systems, including software development and/or networking systems required

· Light metal work, interface connections, computer language, such as C, signal processing experience a plus

What You Will Do

· Responsible for continuous maintenance and operation of computers, scientific graphic equipment, mass spectrometers, data recording equipment and processing equipment.

· Specifies, develops, and facilitates procurement of software and hardware solutions for the different laboratories' data acquisition and processing applications. Customizes programs to provide data backup, file management procedures, and coordination of personal computer and network data directories. Develops or upgrades specialized computer programs in support of laboratory equipment or procedures

· Hardware Development: Provides expertise to develop new equipment and builds new equipment as needed

· Collaboration: Provides advanced technical knowledge at the planning and design stage(s) of research protocols in collaboration with investigator(s)

· Supervisor to support engineers and technical specialists

· Lead Liaison with hospital departments for all building/facilities maintenance and improvement projects, Environment of Care and Emergency Preparedness. Chair of Physical Plant Strategic Plan committee
