Aston Carter Senior Billing Specialist in Dallas, Texas

Description:

Work closely with Project Managers to generate accurate client billings

AIA Billing Preparation – Prepare and review AIA billing documents to accurately reflect project progress and costs.

Billing Schedule Management – Collaborate with project managers to establish billing schedules and deadlines to ensure timely submission of payment applications.

Documentation Management – Maintain organized records of all billing related documents, including change orders, contracts and lien waivers.

Client and Subcontractor Communication – Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project manager to resolve billing inquiries, discrepancies and change requests.

Process customer payments timely

Contact customers to discuss their overdue payments and update account status.

Locate customers using appropriate resources.

Process payments and refunds.

Call customers to resolve billing and credit issues.

Take actions in order to encourage timely payments and reduce accounts receivable balances.

Lead or participate in cross-functional projects, to work through initiatives, streamline processes to increase accuracy and efficiency.

Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures, ensuring proper internal controls exist.

Assist with special projects, billing / collection research and ad hoc analysis as needed.

Skills:

billing, construction billing, invoicing, accounts receivable

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

3+ years of Construction Billing experience

2+ years Lien Waiver Knowledge

2+ years Customer Reconciliation Experience

2+ years of AIA billing experience

Preferred:

System experience with Coins (K2A would be a plus), CMiC

Associates/Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

T&M (Time and Materials Billing)

GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) - associated with contracts
