About the Job
As a Program Manager you will play a key role in the delivery of programs/projects and change initiatives for our clients in the financial and energy industry. You will work closely with project teams, product owners, and client stakeholders to resolve conflicts and remove barriers, ensuring deliverables are on-time and meet quality standards. This role could manage a mix of Capco and client employees, all working towards the ultimate goal of delivering various projects on-time and at or under budget.
What You will Get to Do
Assist in the definition of the strategic road map and objectives for the program
Assist in the definition of project scope and goals
Drive the project team members to a high quality end delivery
Create project plans including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and allocating resources
Maintain an understanding of technical and functional requirements to ensure gaps are identified and addressed in a timely manner
Drive continual improvement and innovation in the development process
Delegate tasks to the team member best positioned to complete them
Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
Partner with clients, product owners and project teams to ensure on-time, and on-budget, quality delivery
What You will Bring with You
8+ years of program / project management experience
Experience working for a management and/or technology consulting company
Knowledge of various project management methodologies (agile/scrum, waterfall, etc.)
Experience working on and leading large scale implementation projects
Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Experience working across business and IT domains
Experience creating and owning/managing program/project budgets
Ability to shift between technical analysis and business value discussions
Ability to lead cross-functional teams
In-depth knowledge of the agile methodology, with experience in running agile projects from start to finish
Practical experience in managing multiple facets of agile project planning, execution, and governance/oversight
Ability to lead and facilitate Agile Team and Team of Teams level processes,
including:
Support preparation for and facilitation of governance meetings and processes, including Agile ceremonies and quarterly release planning activities
Identify and pursue opportunities to fine-tune and improve execution, recommend enhancements related to new and/or existing workflows based on broad view of the organization and an Agile
Experience with project management tools (Jira, Rally, Confluence, Trello, etc.)
Based in or close to Los Angeles, or Dallas or Houston and willing to travel 60% of the time
Optional: Knowledge of the electric utility industry
