Job Title : Director of Marketing and Communications Operations

Job Summary : The Director of Marketing and Communications Operations will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of marketing and communications initiatives. This role will ensure operational efficiency, alignment with business goals, and the effective use of resources. The Director will collaborate closely with the CMO and other senior leaders to drive marketing excellence and innovation in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.

  • Oversee the creation of annual marketing plans, budgets, and performance metrics.

  • Lead the execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Streamline marketing and communications processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Implement and manage marketing automation tools and technologies.

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and alignment across all marketing and communications channels.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely across team to ensure alignment and support of business goals.

  • Collaborate with external partners, agencies, and vendors to enhance marketing capabilities and outcomes.

  • Serve as a key liaison between the marketing and communications department, Finance, and DXC more broadly.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Utilize data analytics and market research to inform marketing strategies and decisions.

  • Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives.

  • Identify and capitalize on market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence.

Budget Management and Financial Responsibility:

  • Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and ROI.

  • Track and manage expenses to stay within budget and maximize cost-efficiency.

  • Develop detailed budget forecasts in collaboration with the FP&A team.

  • Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting to monitor budget performance and identify areas for cost savings.

  • Work closely with FP&A to align marketing budgets with overall corporate financial plans and objectives.

  • Ensure accurate financial documentation and compliance with corporate financial policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience in marketing and communications, with a proven track record in a leadership role within a Fortune 500 company.

  • Strong understanding of marketing technologies, digital marketing, and data analytics.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with budget management and financial acumen.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
