The Broadcast Associate will support The Executive Producer, Coordinating Producers, and other production crew in day-to-day execution of Prime Video’s live sports productions. This role requires flexibility, ability to deal with ambiguity and a drive to learn and be curious.

A successful candidate has the ability to execute on assigned tasks with little oversight and in the designated time frame. You will find yourself in scenarios where you are working as part of a team and where you act on behalf of our team. Project management skills and the ability to balance competing priorities and deadlines will be critical to the success of our productions.

Key job responsibilities

• Support teams in production planning, schedules, logistics and event documentation

• Working side-by-side with show Producers on managing day-to-day operations for live broadcasts

• Assisting with setup and breakdown of all live event shoots

• Communicating with internal teams on cross-functional initiatives

• Developing and maintaining positive partner relationships

• Administrative support of productions such as sharing of show clips, delivery of cue sheets, handling talent requests, and transportation support to name a few

• Content support such as research assistance, video logging, and pitching segment ideas

A day in the life

The Broadcast Associate will support the production team on items related to planning, coordinating, and producing live sporting events. In the same day, you may find yourself supporting a wide range of tasks from administrative to creative. One minute you may find yourself pitching segments and in the next minute booking a meeting room. We need someone who will handle both with equal importance along with the ability to prioritize “less-exciting” tasks when they have priority.

Your days follow the ebb and flow of the production schedule. While in production, you will interact daily with producers, directors, production managers, technical teams, and talent. When not in production, you will support the growth of the ever-expanding team, helping evaluate workflows, establishing best practices, and helping to build our culture as we evolve.

As we support live sporting events, it is common to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of studio or production company assistant experience

• 1+ years of on-set physical production experience

• Bachelor's degree

• Experience with above-the-line and below-the-line unions and guilds

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of digital media space including handling of all types of media equipment experience

• Experience managing events/meetings in a global company

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
