Iron County Medical Care Facility Accounts Receivable Manager in Crystal Falls, Michigan
Are you a detail-oriented professional with expertise in healthcare billing? If so, the Iron County Medical Care Facility (ICMCF) is hiring an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager *to join their Administrative Team in *Crystal Falls, Michigan.
WHAT YOU WILL DO.
- Prepare and bill for services provided by the Facility (Medicare, Medicaid, MI Health, Blue Cross, and private pay services).
- Conduct electronic billing for Medicare, Medicaid, and MI Health.
- Monitor and follow up on unpaid bills and rejected claims.
- Match clinical MDS information with Medicare billing details.
- Coordinate billing changes with various departments and officials.
- Post receipts and maintain detailed records.
- Update and maintain daily and monthly census for billing.
- Summarize and enter ancillary charges monthly.
- Prepare documentation for new admissions and billing.
- Participate in compliance audits and internal teams.
- Provide documentation for collection processes or write-offs of unpaid bills.
- Prepare monthly account summaries and aging reports.
- Alert the Administrator to financial inconsistencies and deficiencies.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and yearly accounts receivable processing.
- Assist with year-end audit preparation.
- Stay updated on reimbursement changes.
- Manage and troubleshoot healthcare software (PointCareClick) setups.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that will allow you to be successful in this position is required.
- Proven experience in accounts receivable management, preferably in healthcare.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in electronic billing systems.
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities with precision and efficiency, consistently meeting deadlines.
- Initiative, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prepare relevant data and reports.
- Proficiency with various software systems: Microsoft Word, Outlook, and extensive experience with Excel.
- Ability to manage in a positive and professional manner.
