Provides cashier services to guests, including providing change for operating slot machines, cashing checks, preparing fills and jackpots, checking banks out and in, checking keys out and in, adding money to safe, preparing deposits, counting and bundling cash, wrapping change, and balancing the bank. Receives, secures, handles, counts and reconciles, and distributes large sums of money accurately and promptly. Operates various machines in order to count and wrap coins and cash money. Performs responsibilities in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, internal policies and procedures and Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations. Completes required casino forms for slot jackpot fill slips, and follows set procedures for re-filling. Assists in providing customer services to all guests through various activities. Develops and maintains effective working relationships and good customer service skills with all guests and employees. Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities, and a general awareness of casino operations at all times. Keeps supervisor informed of any concerns. Verifies customers are 21+. Performs duties in compliance with safety procedures, which includes use of safety equipment. Incumbents are responsible for following safety procedures, identifying unsafe practices or conditions and informing their supervisor or the Safety Committee of unsafe conditions, as directed. Complies with established security policies and procedures. Informs supervisor and/or security personnel/supervisor of any concerns. Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.

Essential duties involve performing physical exertion: frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties require lifting up to 30 pounds; and working a standard workweek with additional hours on a routine basis.

Cashiers earn tips in addition to hourly rate.
