POSITION SCOPE:

The Distribution Liaison is responsible for effectively communicating and developing a professional relationship with our customers and vendors to create “Operational Silence” and exceed expectations. Distribution Liaison must be able to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment. Additionally, they must effectively utilize time management and communication skills to deliver maximum results. The individual should be highly organized, detail oriented, possess a keen sense of urgency with solid analysis skills, and be an active problem solver with a commitment to project and task completion in a timely manner.

REPORTS TO:

Distribution Manager

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain positive and highly effective customer relationships. Work to provide “Operational Silence” for customers and increase revenue through relationship building.

  • Stay apprised of business and organizational changes potentially impacting the customer business/relationship.

  • Notify appropriate Corporate and plant personnel of all customer changes which might impact the business.

  • Establish thorough understanding of all aspects of services offered, including technical capabilities.

  • Act as liaison between the Customer and the Cranbury facility from a Distribution standpoint.

  • Create and coordinate all customer orders and processing, including labels and shipping paperwork, to ensure all orders are processed correctly and delivered OTIF.

  • Perform monthly billing/invoicing for Distribution activity.

  • Work with internal departments to control inventory, obsolescence, and physical inventories.

  • Work with customers for participation in their ERP system.

  • Work with IT to ensure reporting requirements are met/exceeded for all customers; assist with development of additional requirements for customers (internal/external)

  • Participate in customer On-Site visits/calls.

  • Determine if customer needs are met and implement ways to exceed customer expectations.

  • Create heroes of our customers.

  • Ensures a safe work environment by advocating safety, accident preparedness, and compliance with Company, OSHA, and other standards and regulations.

  • Performs all TMS transactions and sets all pick-up appointments

  • Organize all shipments on shared document for Real Time updating.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent

  • 1 to 2 year’s experience in a shipping and receiving warehouse environment.

  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a warehouse environment.

  • Experience interfacing with quality control as it relates to Inventory & Information Management.

  • Experience in preparing shipping reports, updating records, running reports.

  • Familiar with general safety procedure and guidelines.

  • Detail oriented/strong attention to details.

  • Takes pride in quality and accuracy of their daily work.

  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

  • Works under immediate supervision.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience in submissions and routing on various retailer TMS.

  • Basic SAP familiarly and able to run basic reports.
