The position summary:

The Senior Electrical Engineer will contribute to all aspects of the electrical control systems. Specific focus will be on the SAF BU products. This includes development and maintenance of customized hardware, electrical components, test specifications, controls architecture, wiring, firmware as well as manufacturing support and related documentation.

The position will be shared between the R&D and Engineering team, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

What you will be doing:

  • Design and Implemenation of product improvements

  • Participation in development projects, from concept to implementation

  • Development and maintenance of embedded hardware

  • Maintenance of relevant product documentation, including BOM, schematics, datasheets, according to Stratasys documentation standards

  • Test jigs/programs and test specifications for EMS partners

  • Supervision and support of EMS production (component specs, quality)

  • Secure compliance with relevant safety standards

  • Coordinating Engineering Change Orders (ECO)

  • Participate in FMEA's

  • Support printer fleet operations (updates, debugging, rootcausing)

Must have for this role:

  • Degree in electrical Engineering, at minimum BSc level plus a minimum of at least 5 years experience or equivalent

  • Experience with EMS-related support activities

  • Experience with HW development of embedded systems (design and maintain machine schematics / design and create cable drawings and work instructions...)

  • Familiar with HW PCBA design software

  • Experience with compliance activites: electrical safety and EMC tests

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Product Data Management systems and engineering activities

  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration, both locally and on corporate level

  • Capable of independently initiating and establishing processes

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Confident in using IT systems, HR systems

  • Working as part of an international company, you will need to be fluent in written and spoken technical English.

Travel required : Less than 10% travel is anticipated
