Job SummaryThe Sales Engineer position sells Kurts workholding line of products that will include standard product sales as well as custom engineered workholding and/or automation.Essential FunctionsConducts sales calls to direct end-users and industrial distributors that sell and support workholding product lines and services.Reviews customer requirements and helps determine product solutions.Supports or develops product cost estimates that are then presented to customers.Provides technical services and training to customers as required / requested relating to use, operation and maintenance.Supports and helps management evaluate other sales channels such as company sales representatives or sales opportunities.May generate sales or service contracts for products or services.Helps guide new product development and marketing efforts based on feedback from customers, distributors or marketplace information.Assists with annual sales projections/planning.Travels up to 30% of the time to follow-up on potential sales opportunities including direct customers, distributor locations, tradeshows or other activities.Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
