The State of New Hampshire, Liquor Commission has a vacancy for a Part Time Liquor Licensure Specialist.
Summary:
Complies with Title XIII laws, administrative rules, and procedures when investigating, integrating and formulating liquor license applications, supporting documents, and related fees for customers seeking to sell alcoholic beverages and tobacco. As a representative of the Division of Enforcement and Licensing, follows standard operation procedures to ensure customers are provided information in relation to compliance with Title XIII Statute, NHSLC Administrative Rules, Town Regulations, and Federal Laws.
Responsibilities:
- Implements and follows all NH Liquor Commission rules and policies while complying with Title XIII laws, administrative rules, and procedures when assisting applicants with new or revisions to liquor licenses.
- Examines and interprets for Title XIII laws, rules, procedures, and compliance standards for all new, renewal, and modification license applications and supporting documents made to the Liquor Commission to sell alcohol and tobacco.
- Serves as the primary contact and an official representative of the agency for license inquires. Provides exceptional customer service, including articulating and expressing solutions, explaining process and procedure, and determining proper licensing with regards to Title XIII laws and administrative rules to agency employees, licensees, and citizens of the state to enhance customer relations, as well as the NH Liquor Commission and the State of New Hampshires reputation.
- Creates and maintains the electronic licensee files and licensee requests, including reports, by gathering relevant information and documents related to Liquor License requests for new, modified, or temporary licenses for commission approval. Formulates licensee fees and receives check and cash payments in satisfaction of statutory fee requirements, including posting fees into accounting systems.
- Prepares agenda items for retail, direct shippers, wholesalers, and manufacturers for Commission for approval or denial of applications, permits, and petitions by the Chief of Enforcement (or designee) at weekly Liquor Commission meetings. Processes Commission decisions of each item.
- Organizes data to compile lists of delinquent accounts, active, and inactive accounts/licensees to be disseminated to industry members in compliance with RSA 179:13.
- Conducts special conferences with principals, their employees, representatives, attorneys and others concerning Title XIII laws, administrative rules, and Liquor Commission policies.
- Participates in the Field Training Officer (FTO) program as an expert in all aspects of licensing.
