SSOE is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Architect to join our team of experts in delivering cutting-edge solutions to our clients. You will play a pivotal role in designing and shaping the future of advanced industrial, semiconductor, and high-tech manufacturing facilities. You will work closely with our clients, engineering teams, and other professionals to ensure that projects meet and exceed industry standards. If you are a registered architect with a passion for cutting-edge technology, your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the quality, compliance, and innovation of our designs. This position is a hybrid position, requiring occasional onsite work. Responsibilities Lead the architectural design and planning for projects within the industrial, semiconductor, and high-tech manufacturing sectors. Conduct comprehensive code analysis and ensure strict adherence to industry standards and regulations. Oversee code conformance, ensuring that all designs meet or exceed established guidelines. Oversee and participate in peer reviews to maintain high-quality architectural standards. Coordinate closely with various disciplines within the organization to collaborate, optimize, and improve work, staff sharing by participating in multi-discipline strategy sessions, and develop innovative and practical architectural solutions. Prepare and present project proposals, design concepts, and progress updates to clients and stakeholders. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and team members. Stay up-to-date with changes in building codes, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure project compliance. Perform field verifications / site walks to identify, verify, resolve, and incorporate solutions into design packages. May troubleshoot design problems in the field during construction. Qualifications A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited architectural program. A Registered Architect (RA) license in good standing. The ability to lead a project team and manage the workload of multiple projects of varying complexity. Proven experience in code analysis and understanding of building codes and regulations (such as egress, fire-resistant assemblies, occupancy, and building types). Proficiency in relevant design software and tools, such as Revit and AutoCAD. Familiarity with Hazardous Production Materials (HPM) and chemical storage design principles and regulations. Experience performing field verifications and site walks to identify, verify, resolve, and incorporate solutions into design packages. Ability to troubleshoot design problems in the field.
