As a Vice President - Program/Project Manager you will have the opportunity to drive and advise on large scale and complex Electronic Communication projects with longer term life cycles. Job Responsibilities
Support and/or serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all line of business- wide and firm-wide initiatives impacting the WM Supervision E-Comm Review Program, as directed by the Program Director
Execute and/or organize WM Supervision E-Comm Program operational process changes, including Annual Program Review and Change Management, managing updates of job aids and procedures, as needed
Support and/or organize approvals and develop concise communication of E-Comm Program related updates, including presentation to internal Supervision forums, front office or business partners outside Supervision, as well as senior management
Work with various wealth management teams, including Field, Product, Risk, Control, Compliance, and Legal in defining, prioritizing and achieving strategic objectives, and ensuring projects meet the approved business requirements
Support and/or serve as SME for WM Supervision E-Comm Review Program compliance testing and audits, including risk assessments, planning, testing and responses
Support, execute and/or organize E-Comm Program management new hire training and conduct training for E-Comm Review Program employees and E-Comm partners, as needed
Partner closely with Technology (and other dependent resources) in communicating the business needs, including creation of effective management information systems, system release prioritization, and tracking/monitoring progress throughout the project life cycle
Establish strong working relationships with business stakeholders, Technology, Operations, peers, subject matter experts, and others while influencing, clearly articulating and aligning stakeholders to final resolution
Clearly define project objectives, the project team, success metrics, and plan project deliverables and oversee execution of the overall plan
Operate as the voice of the project, producing or contributing to various reporting needs, and facilitating meetings at the business, operational and project levels
Manage requirements with the support of subject matter experts, identify all impacted groups, and track key project deliverables
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Strong knowledge of retail investment products including advisory accounts, mutual funds, annuities, equities and fixed income
Working knowledge of investment industry regulations and regulatory bodies (FINRA, SEC, OCC)
Strong understanding of collecting business requirements and moving initiatives forward
Experience managing multiple initiatives of varying size and complexity
Strong ability to synthesize insights and communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written), and work well in cross-functional teams
A track record demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership
Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers and managers
Strong and efficient skills using MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint
In-depth analytical skills
7+ years of experience in the Securities / Investment industry
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Project management experience is preferred
Experience leading project teams through full project lifecycle from ideation to project implementation including process design, technology development, testing and business readiness is preferred
Business and technology consulting experience is preferred
Experience using MIS reporting tools and creating end-user reports (QlikView, QlikSense, SSRS, Tableau) a plus
Agile and/or Jira experience a plus
Industry licensing preferred (e.g. FINRA Series 7, 66 (or 63/65), 9/10 (or 4,24,53), appropriate State Life & Health Insurance license, etc.) but is not required for the role
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Advanced knowledge of securities industry rules, regulations and guidelines and significant and equivalent experience in a directly related securities industry position may substitute for bachelor's degree
